Go in to DEVICE MANAGER (under Sound Video and Game controllers) and deactivate any other CAPTURE DEVICE hardware, such as TV Cards, Scanners, other webcams, etc. and then try to install the webcam.

Choose “Continue Anyway”.

Go through the Options/Settings for Webcam & Sound in your INSTANT MESSENGER's options.

Disconnect the camera and follow these steps:

1. Insert the CD into your CD drive, WITHOUT the webcam attach, Install the webcam driver, make sure that both driver AND applications is ticked, after installation EXIT the CD.
2. Attach the webcam.
3. If the “Found new hardware guide” pops up, follow step 4, otherwise jump to step 5.
4. Choose NO to go online, then next and “automatic installation”, after the driver installation finishes, remove the cam from the USB port, and attach it again a few seconds later.
5. Click the “Snapshot button” (small holes) on top of the webcam
6. A window will pop up, choose AMCap
7. VERY IMPORTANT - In the AMCap software go to the “Devices” menu, and make sure the USB Pc camera (SN9C103) is ticked, also make sure the USB Camera is ticked below the grey line (This is the Audio source)
8. VERY IMPORTANT - In the “Options” menu make sure that “PREVIEW” is ticked
9. Also choose “Video Capture filter” in the “options” menu, and make sure that “Flicker” is set to 60 Hz.
10. If you want to capture a video to your hard drive, you need to make sure that “Capture Audio” is ticked in the Capture menu.
11. In some cases this file will be saved without an extension, to play the files, rename the file to your_file_name.avi, and play it in Windows media player
12. To use the cam with Instant messengers, make sure you read the camera guides for the Instant messenger you use.
13. In Microsoft MSN Messenger, choose Functions-Sound & Video settings (configuration) Read the message, click next, Speaker configuration, Choose your soundcard, click next, Microphone configuration, choose USB Camera, click next, Webcam configuration, Choose USB PC Camera SN9C103, click apply (finish)

Be sure to choose the USB Cam in the Devices, then click Options and choose Preview.
